Our Story
Mac's Sawmill is a small business in western New Brunswick, Canada started in the year 2021 by Mac Dugan.
Mac's Sawmill's purpose is to bring quality lumber and rustic furniture products to our local and surrounding communities with hopes of growing and being known across our province of New Brunswick as well as the rest of Canada and the world.
Mac's Story
Mac was diagnosed with mild Cerebral Palsy at the age of 1 and has had his ups and downs, faced challenges but overcame them and that hasn't stopped him from pursuing his dreams. He started the business because he wanted to prove to to everyone that you can do anything if you dedicate yourself to it.
At a very young age Mac was interest in building different things and starting his own projects.
When Mac was pondering on what type of business he wanted to start and what legacy he wanted to leave behind, it was an easy choice, with both sides of his family having backgrounds in forestry it only felt right to honor his forefathers and keep there memories and their way of life alive.
Although Mac can't actually go work in the woods, he decided to buy a sawmill and take the trees that are brought to him and give them a new life as lumber and furniture products.
